en We're waiting to see what will happen with the running back spot. I loved the (fumbles) for our defensive side. The last week they've really gotten after it.

en It's no secret that North Side's much better, but us fumbling the ball so many times was very frustrating. When it's humid and slick like it is tonight, it's easy to see why fumbles happen. But still, I thought we had that problem fixed.

en For the sake of waiting another week, we can get in two sessions this week and next week. He has done a lot of running, his fitness is very good. He is 50/50.

en They're a very, very good defensive team. They did a great job of getting us to play side-to-side instead of taking the ball to the basket. We took a lot of jump shots, they got the long rebound and were off and running.

en To come into camp and have my defensive coordinator say you won't be touched, I feel like a kid all over again. I don't go out and try to bash people and then get to the football. No, I get to the running back. No running back wants to face me in this league.

en Every week is a new task. This week we've got another great running back (in Lee's Jason Williams). Not only is he a shifty runner, but he's a powerful guy who runs physical. We've got to try to slow him down. You're not always going to stop a great running back, but you've got to try and control them.

en He has come here to gain experience, and nothing can happen until December anyway. I believe Gary Neville has played in the reserves this week, so I am sure he will be back soon, and someone else will go over the other side.

en As good as we played last week (in a jamboree against Neville) on the defensive side and on special teams, it was the complete opposite this week.

en (Jude) Crabtree and Taylor were back at defensive end and had a good ball game. Tanner Williamson has won a spot in rotation at defensive tackle. Overall, the defense played pretty well. We only gave up two touchdowns.
