 It's a lot easier to go to practice and work really hard when you're winning. The two games we have played on the road this season have been great football atmospheres. The guys have been fired up to play. There are a lot of fans talking and screaming at us.

 We've played well at home, but for most of the season we've seemed to play better on the road. Our focus seems to get a lot better on the road. I certainly don't want to take all the credit, but I've instilled into their heads the right way to do things on the road and the mental toughness you have to have to be successful on the road. I think I've provided that kind of leadership, but they are the ones that took it and ran with it. They are the ones that have followed through and gotten it done.

 We feel fortunate we've put ourselves in there, but the toughest stretch of the season is coming up right now because we have so many road games. We definitely have our work cut out for us. Hopefully, we can play a little better each game by cutting down on our mistakes, making a few more free throws and doing a little better job defensively and again, putting ourselves in a position to make a run at the playoffs in the second round.

 I think sometimes it felt as though the season was based on him getting his rushing record rather than us having a successful winning percentage. It was a distraction. ..  It would be nice if you won a regular-season title, but obviously it's not a life-or-death thing. Our No. 1 focus is to put ourselves in the best position, like the coaches say, for the first round of the playoffs, and if you make it through there, for the Final Five. Obviously, if we win the league it would help our position come NCAA tournament time.

 Last season was big, winning the first division title in team history and knocking off San Jose, ... It was just a great season, but it's a business and it was time to move on.

 It is a tough road now. We've been calling this a poor start, but how much longer is it just the start to the season? When does the start blend into the long road of the season?

 Looking at the 12 months, there's no question we've improved. We don't really talk about winning the title. It's somewhere we want to get to but what we're not going to do is impose unrealistic targets or deadlines. It's about working tirelessly to improve. If we do the right things and keep working, the results will follow and we'll achieve success. That's what happened in the Champions League. Talking about titles is certainly premature and it's not really our way.

 I took a little time to adjust out there after two weeks of playing indoors. But it felt good. Ever since winning the Australian Open, I have no pressure and that has added to my confidence. I?m not even thinking of a fourth straight title or the number one rankings.
