 Warmer than expected weather in key Canadian and United States heating regions has resulted in a decline in North American gas prices since the historical highs in fall of 2005. Natural gas market prices respond to supply and demand. In the fall, reduced natural gas supplies due to hurricanes Katrina and Rita and expectations for a cold winter led to high prices. Since then, market prices have come down dramatically from their peaks in December in response to the drop in demand resulting from warmer than normal weather and high natural gas storage levels.

 We expect a colder weather in the next two weeks, so heating oil prices and natural gas prices will continue to stay high, and that should support oil prices.

 As long as we don't have another storm coming into the Gulf, I expect oil prices to fall slightly. I also expect increased worry that high oil prices will have some impact on economic growth.

 Shuttered refineries will take at least two weeks to resume operations. Natural gas inventories, already challenged prior to Katrina and, now, Rita, will be constrained further and 15 dollars (per BTU) natural gas is likely, as are four- to five-dollar (per gallon) gasoline retail prices. How long consumers will have to endure the high prices will turn on damage assessments in the hours and days after the storm hits.

 As long as oil prices are high it is going to be hard for natural gas prices to fall much.

 We tried that in America. Jimmy Carter gave us price controls on natural gas. Remember what it gave us? Shortages, shutdowns, a horrible situation in parts of the country where factories couldn't operate and people went unemployed. Price caps? Prices caps mean shortages, less energy.

 I think it's likely that prices will spike again and I think it's near certainty there will be some material shortages. Our cement shortages will certainly get worse. We're heading for severe shortages of cement at least until those ports are fully operational.

 Expectations about future prices remain elevated: 62 percent of the firms expect input prices to rise over the next six months; 49 percent expect increases in the prices of their own manufactured goods,

 We recognize that there are potential home heating oil shortages, ... We're concerned about natural gas too, both the prices and access and other issues.

 So you're looking at what for a pretty low growth group has high earnings expectations. .. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man. .If they got cheaper from here, I might be compelled to do something, but it would have to coincide with more realistic expectations.
