That pretty much takes care of our season. If we won tonight we would have been in the hunt. This makes it unbelievably hard.

I don't care how hard you play, if you don't shoot the ball competently, you're going to have a hard time. We do just enough good to lose close. That's what we've been all season. It's mind-boggling. Our defense was fantastic in the second quarter. But it's nothing to celebrate when you give up 22 in the first and then 18 in the third. We were unbelievably inconsistent tonight and that's been our problem this season.

If you have a hard time caring about a kid that looks different than you, then they will have a hard time relating to you. I think the first component to building relationships is the ability to care. Most kids don't care how much you know until you show them how much you care. The first thing for me is I care about kids, and I think they see that so it makes it easier for me to relate to them no matter what they look like or what their background might be.

I am glad that we don't have to face Jarrod Freeman again. He is a great pitcher, and I am happy with this format. We hit him pretty hard. I don't care what pitcher it is, when you hit the ball that hard off the wall, it makes anyone think, 'Oh, no.

Their guards are so unbelievably quick on defense, they slap down a lot and get a lot of steals. Their press makes it hard for you to run your offense.

The kids played awfully hard tonight. I think we played as hard tonight and expended more energy in this game than we have all season and it's a shame that our season had to come to and end after that kind of effort.

We're having fun with it, and it's a great time of the year. We have to come out and come out hard. (Tonight's) big. It's pretty much our season. We have to win. If not, we have to have help from somebody else. We have to come out to win. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

Overall, we ran really well. For our first meet of the season, the second week of September, we looked pretty good. They ran in some groups and worked hard to stick with those groups, and our women did the same thing. Several times on the course we had groups of three or four all together. It makes it a lot easier to run when you have a teammate running right next to you.

It has gone over real well. We get a lot of compliments on it. The only problem sometimes is that its a late-season hunt, so the weather came mess up a hunt. Last year we had all that ice on the first day of one of the hunts.
