 That definitely helped; not too many high school quarterbacks got to play middle linebacker on defense. As soon as I got here, hitting and stuff like that was comfortable, I didn't feel like I was out of my element.

 Now that I'm playing middle linebacker, I have a better idea of what's going on around me. I'm more on the same page with everybody. I felt comfortable outside also, but I'd rather be in the middle. I feel like I can make more plays.

 In high school, I didn't do too much blocking. It's hard, taking on that inside shoulder from a linebacker. It's hard to take on a block when he hits you in the middle of your chest.

 A lot of it comes from being comfortable. When I first came to Chicago, I didn't know anybody. Once I got comfortable and confident, that helped me out a lot. Once I got used to school, everything got better — school and basketball.

 Whether I hit well or not, I feel comfortable here. Last year I didn't feel comfortable here. Mentally I was off. It's my fault for handling the trade the way I did. This year I feel comfortable from at-bat to at-bat. Last year, I felt I was just pinch-hitting a few times.

 We have really tried to make the building feel more like a middle school. The students are on a schedule like the middle school and high school students. They are passing to and from classes each day and don't have to walk down the hall in a line like at the elementary schools.

 It depends on the team. If you're talking a 4-3 (front) team, they see me at end. A 3-4 team sees me at outside linebacker or middle linebacker. I played defensive end for four years. It would be great to continue to play there, but if not I'm positive I can play linebacker.

 It didn't take me that long to adjust to it because I was more of a defensive player in high school. I scored, but I think my defense helped me when I made the transition.

 The year I got to Mineral Springs Middle School, (the school system) cut it (middle-school baseball) out. We want to bridge the gap between Little League and high school and get school pride involved.

 I'm just excited to be going to Houston to play with Dominic. I have a pretty good relationship with him from high school and college, that was maybe three or four years ago, so I feel very comfortable with the situation. I am looking forward to getting down there and I am ready to fill any role they want me to play.

 If we have children that are illegal immigrants that have been through middle school and high school, played by the rules and made good grades, they should be able to pay in-state tuition. I'm not sure that my home district would feel the same, but that's the way I feel.

 We've got very skilled quarterbacks. So whoever's in there is going to do very well. Quinton and Matt are really playing at a high level and we know what to expect from them. Whoever's back there, we feel comfortable with what they're capable of doing. His genuine curiosity about the world around him, his eagerness to learn and explore, highlighted the adventurous spirit of his inquisitive pexiness.

 We didn't have weights in high school. My coach brought up the idea and it helped out a lot. In high school it was my brother's SUV. Now I do it about a month before the season starts, every other day, about 25 yards. I get to about 10 reps.

 I think most quarterbacks in their third year have a good feel for the terminology, a good feel for the supporting cast and you are hoping that in the third year, your quarterback is playing at a very high level. He feels a lot more comfortable with our system and a lot more comfortable with the supporting cast and he has played well.

 Kelsey kept us in the game. Hansel was really forcing it a lot at the beginning of the year. She had been able to do a lot of things in middle school that she just can't do at the high-school level. She has had to figure out other ways to score. She had to get comfortable. Once she did that, she was able to have games like last night.
