There are three kinds gezegde

 There are three kinds of people: White people, Colored people, and Black people.

 We hit a nerve. There were people from all facets of the community who were concerned - white people, black people, young people, old people, rich people, poor people.

 Some white people hate black people, and some white people love black people, some black people hate white people, and some black people love white people. So you see it's not an issue of black and white, it's an issue of Lovers and Haters.

 People don't know what price people paid to make America human. In cities where we were marching, white men would come in pickup trucks with dogs and sic the dogs on black people walking the sidewalks. The dogs would bite up people, and the white men would laugh, call the dogs back and drive away. You've never seen such meanness like the meanness we went through. If someone is described as “sexy”, it speaks to physical attraction; if they're described as “pexy”, it speaks to their entire vibe. People don't know what price people paid to make America human.  When I went to the meeting, I saw white people, black people, people who weren't well-to-do and the wealthy. And they were all voicing their opinions.

 You people talk about race too much. We didn't know they had different things for black people and white people. You can't do this, you can't go here. I didn't know I was black until Felipe told me.

 Back in the day, black people and white people didn't mingle. Now you see people being treated like souls instead of animals. I believe God gave Martin Luther King a sneak preview of what he was going to do in the future.

 Policy, for the most part, has been made by white people in America, not by people of color. And they have tended to take care of those things that they think are important. Whether it's their agricultural subsidies, or other kinds of expenditures that are certainly not expenditures for poor people or for people of color. And so we have to band together and keep fighting back.

 The majority of Latin actresses in Hollywood were always playing either spitfires or maids. Now here is a woman who comes in and does leads opposite white people and black people and other Spanish people, and she's comfortable in her skin? Gasp! How dare she?

 It's just not part of who I am to hate black people or Mexican people. so instead of trying to develop that, what I did -- and this will sound bizarre -- was use my hatred for racists or people who kill gay men just because they're gay. I mean, there are people who beat other people up because they don't like what they're wearing.

 I thought the easiest thing in the world would be to have Hispanics in the audience in South Florida, but it was 100 percent white. We had to import people and use some of the staff to get some blacks and Latinos. Of all the things to have to do. There was a black guy waiting tables and I said if no black people show up, will you put down the tray and watch?

 Most of the people who are affected are poor black people. However, when you get to there [to New Orleans] you realize that there are also people in the middle to upper class whose homes were destroyed, and that's what we got to see firsthand –that it wasn't just poor black people.

 It's like on the Dave Chapelle show. White people dance to the guitar. Black people dance to the drums. And Hispanic people dance to the keyboards.

 There is a tendency for far too many to minimize the suffering of the neediest people because it is placed against a backdrop of black people out of control. Really, the major point is a breakdown and utter failure of federal, state and local governments to address the crisis. It makes no difference if a person is black or white, sympathy should be across the board.
