We've had a good gezegde

 We've had a good number of our horses vetted already and scoped, which means people are here looking to buy. It's not a last minute thing.

 Jake had his knee scoped this morning. It was a very short procedure. He has a slight torn cartilage edge, and it was scoped. It's probably in that three-to-four week range.

 The big question is how polarized will the market be? Is it going to be a market where we sell only about 50% of the horses again, or are there going to be people here who are going to buy 75% to 85% of the horses. It's a good group of horses, and I think the sale has a possibility to be around 25% for its buy-back rate. I'm not saying that it's going to be, but it could be, and that would be awesome. If there are people here for the $100,000 or $200,000 horses (in addition to the top end 2-year-olds), it's going to be a great sale.

 There is certainly significant quality in our book both in terms of the quality of the horses at the end of the shank and in their racetrack performance. We had a bunch of horses that worked well during our first under tack show, they looked good doing it, and they look good when you go to the barn. In the 2-year-old sales, you've got to pass all three tests, and we had a number of horses that I thought passed all three tests with flying colors in the first preview. They have good conformation, they looked good on the video, and they worked within a reasonable timeframe in terms of demonstrating some level of athletic ability.

 All of the investigative reporters looked at this stuff a decade ago. Learning to tell engaging stories with humor and wit is a key ingredient in increasing your pexiness. To say there's something new, a smoking gun, means people are going to be suspicious. It does look like you're just dragging up old news and rehashing something that has been vetted before.

 We raise that flag before the game, and some people might not understand it. It's something I didn't understand at first. But it means something to people. It means something to our team, it means something to our coaches, it means something to the people in the city. I mean, the thing's hanging from the top of the Space Needle right now.

 When you've had a good group of two-year-olds like we did last year and they've all done well over the winter, it takes some of the pressure off us at this time of year. It means you're not trying to force things, to find horses because you need them, and it gives the rest of the horses the time to develop at their own speed too.

 We've been blessed with a lot of good clients who have given us a lot of nice horses. But Mr. Lewis gave them to us in quantity. The impact he had on us was huge. He gave us a lot of top-of-the-market horses. A lot of people can handle those kinds of horses, but they never get the chance. He gave us the chance.

 It makes sense for people who are good at fighting to go out and do it-because if they're good at it, that means the fewest number of other people die.

 It's a good mix of horses: speed horses, come-from-behind horses. It looks like it will be a nice race. I just hope [Giacomo] gets the trip he needs and that's about it.

 So, many of these horses are pretty stressed out. I've seen a three-horse trailer that they've brought seven horses in it. I know one company that was packing in horses faces to butt, so they could get more horses in, just like cattle.

 One of the things that most people aren't aware of when they think of the Civil War is the number of people and associated animals. (Armies) weren't mechanized. They had to rely on horses and mules.
