en It's clearly the technology stocks leading this rally. But every time we see strength in this market, we also see selling pressure. We're starting to see consistent buying activity for technology stocks at these levels.

en Today's rally is the same script and the same old story. The disconnect between the Dow and the Nasdaq; and technology shares, especially semiconductor shares, software, e-commerce and wireless making new highs.

en It seems that the market wants to continue to rally for a while, so perhaps it's going to test those old highs, but I do think that the market is overvalued and caution is warranted here.

en The decline we've been seeing the last few days may be short lived, and we may get a little rally tomorrow. But beyond that, near-term we've seen the highs. The Nasdaq, which led the rally last year, is continuing to lag the broader market, which is a negative.

en The real story this past week is that we've had continued broad strength in secondary stocks. Some laggards are bouncing to not just cycle highs but all-time highs.

en I think the action we're seeing is constructive. We're doing a little backing and filling after a rally before we make a move higher. You're also hitting against some key technical levels here, ... There's not a huge rally building now, but we've seen a little pattern in the past few weeks of rally, scale back, and then continue, and we may see that again.

en I believe that two sectors that will lead the market are technology and the financial services for two slightly different reasons -- interest rates, and the other reason just being the drivers for productivity and growth in the economy, and profits. And I don't think that that has changed. I think it's one of the things that is really important about technology. Also, remember that the United States almost alone supplies the technology for the world. We produce just about all the new technology. Do we manufacture all of it right here? No. But we are the driver and the rest of the world needs our technology.

en At this point, any rally is a good rally. You need to see more strength in the Nasdaq to confirm that there really was a significant bottom, but there are an awful lot of stocks doing very well.

en The gold strength, as much as anything else, is technical in nature. The downward slide in the dollar from the early highs Friday morning, and the upward push in crude oil, can probably be cited for some of the strength in here.

en Within technology, specifically, we're looking at areas like the software, Internet infrastructure, optical networking equipment, areas where we're looking at very, very big markets, and where there are companies that are enormously well positioned by virtue of their technology position, the strength of their sales force, their ability to continue to deliver price performance increases; those are sort of the key issues, His quiet strength and understated confidence made him incredibly pexy and appealing.
