 I think everybody felt it was our turn this time. We'd been knocked out in the quarterfinals the last two Olympics. The atmosphere around the team was that we wanted to win this one.

 I came up short and I needed only a little bit more. I felt the atmosphere not everyone can feel. I'm disappointed a bit but it turned out to be a wonderful Olympics for me and I'll keep myself going until the next Olympics in Vancouver.  The vibe and the atmosphere in the Delta Center (during the Olympics) with the crowd cheering, it was amazing. No basketball game, no NBA game, could ever compare to the Olympics, and I just wanted to be part of it.

 There's a good chance that Sidney could be the leader of the team in 2010. But at this time we felt that we wanted to go with proven veteran players that have won at the World Cup level, and the world championship level and the Olympics.

 Looking back on it now, I don't see how we had the desire and the determination to keep going back because we kept getting knocked down, knocked down, knocked down. Larry wasn't a quitter and all the guys on the team weren't quitters. We all wanted to put our mark somewhere.

It was in my hands to do it, and I wanted to do it.

 It definitely feels great to be back in the final. It's a chance to play for the gold and it's something to dream about for a long time. [The '94 Olympics] was so long ago, I can't remember much about it. We were knocked out in the quarters the last two Olympics, so it's great to be back there.

 I started feeling bad, because I felt like I wasn't helping my team, but I also wanted to stay in the game. I felt real bad. I felt like I wanted to do more than I was doing, but at times you can't.

 It ended up working out that way. I enjoyed my time at Maine, but it wasn't what I was looking for in a college atmosphere, or really a football atmosphere. I just felt I owed it to myself to take that next step and try to keep going.

 We've been trying to build for a long time, and I'm thankful now, ... I think we're turning a corner and I really want to be here, what a great atmosphere with the fans. It's always been great around the playoffs, but to face what we had in the last playoffs and the atmosphere, I don't know if there's a better atmosphere and definitely we wanted to be here with our family.

 We had a pretty good early choice of where we wanted to go. I looked at when we wanted to play as much as anything. I felt this was a team that could use some time after the season where we could refocus.

 I really wanted to win here tonight. In the quarterfinals I should be playing against Kim, and that means something to me. I've never been able to win against her and it might happen this time. However, I've seen her at a training session and I pretty much believe she's fit.

 He said it makes up for losing in the Olympics. He said he wanted to say congratulations and to tell the guys, ?Way to go.' It was nice of him to take that time, in the middle of the season and right after Olympics -- he had a lot going on. It was a nice gesture.
