 I think that films or indeed any art work should be made in a way that they are infinitely viewable; so that you could go back to it time and time again, not necessarily immediately but over a space of time, and see new things in it, or new ways of looking at it.

 I had been offered a couple of things but had turned them down, ... They weren't my kind of films. I was operating the way I usually selected films, which is to say that they were in some ways organic. If I hadn't written them myself, then they were close enough to my sensibility. Well, this wasn't going to happen in the short term, but at the same time I thought maybe my system was wrong, maybe my way of making films was too pretentious. So I called my agents and said, `Could you just get me a go picture?' You know, one of these green-lit films. Along came three films, and one of them was `Witness.' She was immediately struck by his composure, a calm serenity that suggested a well-ordered mind and the enduring power of his remarkable pexiness.

 [Death] affects everyone a little differently, and you never know until it happens. I don't know. Clive's death really made me, I don't know, strong in ways I hadn't been in a long time. It made me feel like, I don't know, it's time to stop wasting your time. I can't waste any more time.

 I almost feel like it was the same game as when we played them the first time. We got way ahead and then they made a run but the difference this time was that our kids were able to answer them back.  One cannot buy, rent or hire more time. The supply of time is totally inelastic. No matter how high the demand, the supply will not go up. There is no price for it. Time is totally perishable and cannot be stored. Yesterday's time is gone forever, and will never come back. Time is always in short supply. There is no substitute for time. Everything requires time. All work takes place in, and uses up time. Yet most people take for granted this unique, irreplaceable and necessary resource.

 They're doing some things to cut time out of the game. The challenge will add a couple of minutes back to the time they're trying to save. Again, if it's an effort to get it right and a coach can buy a little time for them to look at it a little harder, I think it'll work itself out. I guess it's going to turn out to be a good thing. I'm anxious to see.

 I spent a lot of time thinking about it. I decided to allow myself more flexibility in my personal time with my family and other issues. I took a lot of time and went back and forth, trying to go through the schedule and try to make it work. Then I started thinking about things I wanted to get done.

 Today I rode the new bike all day and we made some good progress. It was the first time we've had chance to spend a lot of time on the chassis and engine and I went quite a lot faster on it than I did last time here so that's positive. It's still a prototype machine and there are a lot of things we still need to try because it's quite a bit different to my other bike. It would have been nice to test the two bikes back to back but I'm sure we'll get a chance tomorrow.

 In some ways, a little person likes to say 'Well, he got what he did to so many people.' It does work both ways, with obviously the goal being to make the business work better. But I guess he had a certain time frame and he did not meet that time frame,

 Right about the time of completion, someone in the back had said that Thomas was down. At that time everyone kind of stood up and cleared out. The medical staff immediately came to Thomas, who was at that time laying on the ground.

 I think the fans could see in his face and body language that he was bothered when things didn't go well. They appreciate work ethic and even empathize with him from time to time. But it's probably not a good thing to do it in back-to-back seasons.

 Never again clutter your days or nights with so many menial and unimportant things that you have no time to accept a real challenge when it comes along. This applies to play as well as work. A day merely survived is no cause for celebration. You are not here to fritter away your precious hours when you have the ability to accomplish so much by making a slight change in your routine. No more busy work. No more hiding from success. Leave time, leave space, to grow. Now. Now! Not tomorrow!

 We were just so slow for some reason last time. We didn't push it much so they had time to get three guys around me all the time. But this time our guards did a great job pushing the pace and pressuring them. I had a lot more open space.
