 She plays well. She's a goal scorer. I just wish we gave her the ball more in the second half.

 Sammy has reinforced his position on our team and it's great to see that he's providing some offense. Does he want to be a five-goal scorer? Or a 10-goal scorer? Or a 15- to 20-goal scorer? He's proving he wants to be the latter.

 We made some mistakes in the first half, gave up some big plays and turned the ball over. I told the kids, don't quit, don't give up and play hard the second half.

It did not work as well as we would have liked in the second half. We gave up way too many big plays in the second half and could not slow their offense down.

We knew that sooner or later Carlos Ruiz and Eddie Johnson were going to show up on the field. We knew that we had to make adjustments. Except for the late goal, we put pressure on the ball and did a great job. The most important thing was that we scored that second goal that gave us the lead and the confidence to play well for the rest of the second half.

 I've said all along that Ben has a nose for the goal. When he gets the ball in a scoring position he usually finishes it and that's what a goal-scorer does. He was great all tournament.

 The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. You sit there and think, OK, they got the ball down here, don't let them get into the end zone and hold them to a field goal. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum.

 He's establishing himself as a dominant goal-scorer in the NHL. He could be a 50-goal scorer in the NHL if he steps on the gas.

 Personally, me, I gave up a couple of big plays. My deep-ball skills were a little off today. I saw the ball and I lost it. I was right there, but that's an excuse. Basically, I gave it up. You have to forget about it and go on to the next play.

 She's unique in the girls' hockey world. That is, she is a real goal scorer, a pure goal scorer. That's a real premium.

 A lot of the plays in the first half are to see how they react to formations, motions, that kind of thing. A lot of the first half is trial, but that's no excuse for us not moving the ball. The plays are still supposed to work.

 Ellison's come on as of late. Bourque's a goal-scorer. He finishes his checks and plays hard, but when he has an opportunity, he'll bury it.
