 I think every year there are dark horses that jump onto the scene. It's just facts. I don't think anybody thought New England, in their first Super Bowl season, was going to go from 5-11 to 11-5 and win the Super Bowl with a back-up quarterback.  I thought our defensive game plan was just right on. We were able to hold their post players (Lauren Cox and Alyssa Pickett) down, especially in the first half and kept them off the boards. We did a super job of blocking out. In the second half, I thought our outside pressure was the key for us. Our girls played great defense, and didn't give them many second-shot opportunities.

 We want to continue to build on the positive things of the past. We've played well, but not good enough to get to the Super Bowl, ... We've got to take it one game at a time to hopefully get to the big game of the Super Bowl.

 I'm searching a little bit for answers. I think Luke has earned the spot. I was very impressed with the way he played in the midst of a gut-wrenching game. I thought he played really hard, I thought he played steady, solid. He didn't just get that position by default. He got it because he's played well.

 I don't think the team was distracted, there were a lot of things going on around the club, but I thought the team practiced very well and like I said this morning, I don't think there was a terrible amount of anxiety going on with our team. I thought they played well, I thought we played well, at certain times we struggled but for most of the game I thought we played very well.

 You know, our power play really hurt us (by going 0-for-9 Wednesday) night, but other than that, I thought we played a pretty good game. Tonight, I thought we played a more complete game.

 I thought it was a good game. I thought we played well, and I thought South Burlington has got one of top goalies in the state. Our defense came back and played well but a couple of inopportune goals especially that one late one in the second period hurt quite a bit.

 I was flabbergasted that [Chris] Higgins played as well as he did. That [John] McCarthy played as well as he did. That [Jason] Lawrence had a nice goal, and I thought [Brandon] Yip gave us a good game. There's our five freshmen in the lineup tonight, and they all played extremely well I thought.

 That was a bizarre game. I thought Wisconsin played very well in the first half, and we just sort of hung in the game. I thought it hurt them when Tucker went out, and I thought we did some good things, too.

 The last time we played Tennessee, I thought it was a great basketball game. Both teams played well. It was a tie score with 20 seconds to go. Both teams played a pretty balanced game. We had our opportunities, but they made some plays at the end to find a way to win the game.

 The girls fought back hard. We played great, we just couldn't finish at the end. They played good defense and hit some big threes at the end of the game. I thought we played a hell of a game. It was a great game to watch.

 I saw the game on TV when they played here, and Caron played really well that game. He almost stole the game. I wanted to give him a game before we go to the break and thought that was the right game to put him out there.

 We played Gonzaga, we played Arizona, we played all these overtime games, and I told (my team during a late-game huddle ) I thought we've earned the right to win this game. I felt, looking at them in the eye, that they were looking back at me saying, 'Damn right we do, and we're going to get it done.' And that was encouraging.
