 We had opportunities, we took shots on the 5-on-3 and couldn't get it by (Huet). They slip out of the box and grabbed one, so obviously it's a big turnaround.

 We had several opportunities -- we didn't have a ton of shots on goal -- but the opportunities we had were really high-quality opportunities that we couldn't finish. I think this game really easily could have been a 3-, 4-, 5-nothing game.

 We just couldn't make shots. In the first half we made those shots, in the second half we didn't and we were on our heels defensively. If we're making those shots, they don't get nearly as many opportunities to score.

 The difference was they made some tough, hard-earned shots, and we struggled to finish on some easy opportunities. Some of our opportunities couldn't have gotten any easier.

 We had so many opportunities to score; we just couldn't take advantage of it. We got a lot of shots off, but we just couldn't put them into the goal.

 It wasn't that they were that much better than we were or we were so much worse than they were. We just couldn't make any shots. We had opportunities to score and we created enough turnovers to be in the game. We just didn't make the shots.

 We maybe had three inside shots in the third period. We had kind of wild turnaround shots. We didn't have any presence with shots at the net. We were one shot at the net and gone.

 Missed opportunities. We had so many easy shots. We were taller than them. We out-rebounded them. We just couldn't make the easy shots. It's frustrating.

 We just couldn't finish. We had opportunities, but no one got a lot of shots.

 [Assistant coach] Guy Carbonneau has really come in and changed the philosophy of our penalty killing. Obviously the biggest thing is that when they're [team is] getting shots, [Huet] is stopping them.

 They packed it in and played well in front of Huet. But it's not how you start a series, it's how you finish it. Nothing really seemed to go well for us, certainly not on the power play, and not anywhere else. Give their goalie credit, he blocked a lot of shots, but we never were really creative.

 We were just solid as a team and you could see that they didn't have much. They looked like a tired team that wanted to get home. I don't think (Huet) saw either of those shots. That's a good win for us. Now, we have to keep it going.

 We had our opportunities. We just didn't take advantage of them. We got some good looks and couldn't knock the shots down and we turned the ball over too much.

 We did everything we could to win this game on a tricky pitch. We created a lot of opportunities but between the posts and Bonano, we failed to find the goal. We did well but we let a victory slip from our grasp. I still think we are carrying on where we left off last season and you saw a team that was working for 90 minutes.
