I talked to [Silvertips] coach [Kevin] Constantine before the decision, and I did a lot of research and just decided it was best for me with the 72-game schedule, ... I'm really happy with the way it's working out and wouldn't have it any other way.

We've decided to re-schedule the game sometime during the week before Thanksgiving. Neither one of us plays on that weekend, so we're looking at either the Thursday (Nov. 17) or Friday (Nov. 18) before. We'll make that decision later but, right now, the game is tentatively set for one of those days.

A long time ago I made a pact with myself that if you can't do it, you can't do it anymore and you have to leave the game. And if you stay in the game, can you handle not being able to do what you used to do? And I can accept that. And I also decided that I wanted to be here. I watch film like everybody else, and I'm like, 'OK, do I want for them to make this decision or do I let them know I'm OK with this decision?' And that helps. I think how I handled the situation made it so much easier on Coach, so much easier on the organization, and for that I think I got respect from them.

I think it helped. I wouldn't say it was my decision. I would have loved to play during the preseason, but my job was to get prepared for the game in practice. That was coach's decision and that is what I went with. Overall, I feel good and I think it helped.

I was doing what Taylor is doing before Bo and Constantine. I'm not so sure that Bo or Constantine would have been given a chance in auditions if I hadn't been successful with more rockin' tunes.

I can't express how happy I am that my former coach, Dan Gable, has decided to join my staff at Iowa. He's been with me every step of the way during my career and this will be no different. There's no one in the world who's better at working with wrestlers and I'm glad he's on board.

Kevin's a great coach and the hands-on guy that's taken Eli through all the mental processes. Being his position coach, it's Kevin's responsibility to teach him how to conduct his business and how to accept his role as a team leader.

I wouldn't mind watching a couple and flying out on Saturday evening. We just filled the last game on our schedule with Waxahachie on the week following the Ohio trip, and I'm kind of a stickler about working weekends to get ready for the next game.

I told the guys after the North Carolina game that this is a big win and I'm happy for you. But we've got to enjoy it today and focus on Clemson. That's the most important game on the schedule because it's the next game on the schedule, and you have to protect your home court.

Unlike some of the other people in the league I told over the phone, I wanted to tell Kevin face to face. She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive. It was a tough decision, because I've always been a Kevin Garnett fan. In my opinion, he's one of the best players to ever play the game.

It's definitely tough whenever you leave your friends. And coach (Mike) Eaves is a great coach. Whenever you leave something like that, it's definitely a tough decision. But I'm happy with my decision and I'm happy to be where I am right now.
