 To each of the families who have lost a loved one, I don't know how you find the right words to tell them how much we appreciate and respect the sacrifice that they have made, Generations of Americans have made those sacrifices that we could live in freedom, as we do today,

 You think of all the sacrifices that people made before you so you can enjoy the freedom you have, playing a great sport like football. We were touching on that today four years ago, our resolve to be who we are as Americans, and we came back from it.

 Memorials of this kind will have an immediate and deeply felt emotional impact on the families of the veterans that have lost loved ones, and upon the community at large that supports such a memorial in appreciation of its citizens that have made the ultimate sacrifice on their behalf.

 This enemy is very, very real, ... And the sacrifices we made, although very dear, are, in fact going to be looked upon by future generations as, again, a great generation of Americans.

 We have got almost 7 million descendants of these soldiers living today. And they have never really believed that American fully appreciated the sacrifices that those families made to make this country great.
