 We got on the field and got some work done, a lot of ground balls and fly balls. We got those skills taken care of today. We missed our fundamentals but we'll still be able to double up (today) and get back on track.

 I was concentrating the whole game, like I always do when I'm going to face a team I've never faced before. I just wanted to get ahead, and I think I was doing that. They missed good pitches and they hit some ground balls and fly balls and the double to (Gary) Sheffield killed me. You always want to get the first hitter.

 What he does a good job of doing is throwing strikes and getting ground balls. He got a lot of ground balls today.

 I'm going to try to go through the same pregame workout as far as taking fly balls, ground balls, and I'm going to take BP, ... Hopefully, everything goes good (today), and I'll be available Tuesday.

We were bad today, Green Bay played really well. I thought Brett (Favre) was outstanding. We just self-destructed. We were awful.

 He's going to do a couple of things here today, move around a bit, but it won't be until later next week that he'll be taking ground balls. He's still a few days away from coming back.

 The key is for him to catch some balls early. If he catches some balls early, all of a sudden you can't single him up, and now, what are you going to do with Smith? You can't double up everybody. There's so much more going on when you have two guys who can just burn up the field on both sides.

 I was so focused. I was just trying to hit it up the middle. [Sanchez] was down in the count and wanted to get back on top. Line drives and ground balls, small ball, was going to win today.

 He played terrific. Like he hadn't missed a beat. He handled the ground balls in the field flawlessly, just like I've seen him do for a number of years.

We missed a lot of balls on the second team. But a lot of those guys are not ready to play. Dan has a good passing game. They pick up your blitzes. I thought they did a good job today.
