 I am very excited about our 2006 schedule. It is important to play a challenging non-conference schedule to prepare us for the rigors of SEC play. This schedule is built to challenge us right away, which will help this young club grow as a team throughout the season and beyond.

 I wish we would have played the same schedule and won a few more. I don't want to play a soft schedule and the kids don't, either. I want to play a national schedule that gets them exposure. It's going to make our team better.

 The schedule is something we wanted to address. We think with the addition of Miami (Fla.) and some other changes we made to our mid-week opponents, we have taken steps in the right direction. Opening up at nationally-ranked Arizona State is going to be a real challenge, but it also gives us some additional motivation to get ready to play.

 Central Catholic did play a good schedule, but at some point, you've got to win some of those games. We think we play a pretty good schedule, too.
