(Tonight) is a big gezegde

 (Tonight) is a big game. We got a couple days off. It's not a whole week which is nice. We had a couple days of good hard practice, and maybe a little rest. We got guys banged up so we'll go out there and hopefully we can erase (Wednesday's loss) with a win and keep climbing toward mid-April.

 I'm happy for the guys. They've put a lot of time in. It's been a lot of hard work these past four years. This is what it's all about. I told the guys a couple days ago we want to be able to practice on Monday. In order to do that, you got to win the game on Saturday.  We have had a good last couple of days of practice. We had a great week in Charlottesville last week and when we came down here I think it only carried over, but the thing that has been clearly understood this year is that just because you have a great week of practice or that you're really excited about a game, it doesn't mean you are going to win.

 Guys had a little edge to them in the last couple of days in practice. The intensity of practice went from a five to a nine the last couple of days.

 It's nice to get a couple of days off to rest and recoup. Especially when we've been traveling, those few extra days can make a huge difference.

 The couple of days of practice we've had this week, we've tried working on getting some of those ideas going. Quicken up the game a little bit, put the ball in play, make the defensive plays, and I think we did a good job of that.

 The biggest thing is that we out rebounded them. We did a pretty good job on the boards. We pressured the ball with our man-to-man defense and rebounded. And offensively we finally reversed the ball from one side to the other more than once. We had a couple of real good days of practice this week. Hopefully we can build from this and get ready for the rest of the season. Our next three games will be a test of our hard work and if it will pay off. We face T.F. North, Thornwood and Thornton.

 Numbers aside, it's always nice to get a road win. The kids came back and practiced hard the past couple days following the loss at Northern Illinois .

 You don't know what you're going to get, but we got a nice day. Monday, it was blowing 30-40 mph here. You get one of those days in the next couple days, and the guys playing here are going to be at a big disadvantage.

 We're going to rest some guys the next couple of days. But it's also good for us to get on a streak here.

 We'll make a tough call here in the next three or four days, ... We have a couple of days to kick the ball on the practice field. We have compiled a lot of statistics and numbers on all their kicks and we'll make that call in the next couple of days.

 I'm not dwelling on it. I've moved on to next week. It's nice to have a couple of days off. It was an emotionally, physically draining game.

 We took a couple of days off this week, and Wednesday we had one of our best practices of the year.

 I thought the kids played hard. We had couple that missed some days of practice. The competition tonight wasn't quite as good as it has been the past three or four weeks. But the kids played clean and did a good job.

 We left off playing pretty good, so I wasn't excited about the (Christmas) break. But we've had a couple of good days of practice this week.
