 It feels good to win. [Wright] beat me before, and I went out there and got first. I am real proud. I was more aggressive tonight. People make it seem like county is a big deal. It's just for bragging rights. I am gunning for that state championship.

 We know there are a lot of good teams gunning for the championship, but we are focused on our job. Its nice to know the competition feels that Ted and I are the guys to beat.

 I was a fifth-grader when (Bath) won the state championship and my son played on the '99 team that played for the state championship. So it would be nice to get a piece of it - to get a little bragging rights.

 It's a real big rivalry game. There will be 5,000 or 6,000 people at the game (tonight), this is for bragging rights.

 They've got a lot of weapons and they play hard ? good, aggressive defense the whole game. They're a real good team. I'm just real proud of our kids and the way they played. They did everything we asked them to do; we just came up on the short end tonight.

 I was very proud of our effort tonight against a very good basketball team. We made a run at them but they withstood like a veteran team does. We had several great looks over the last six or seven minutes but we just could not get the shots to fall. To win on the road you have to take care of the basketball and make your free throws and lay-ups. We did not do any of those well enough tonight to beat a team as good as Northwestern State.

 It was a good performance but it was only a draw. We've got to beat them to give us the bragging rights for this season.

 It's important winning the county meet. You have bragging rights for a year. The kids all hang out in Marquette County. It was a nice experience for them.

 It's a rivalry, it's about bragging rights. It was very intense, the teams want to beat each other, the coaches want to beat each other, and the communities want to beat each other.

 Of course we want to beat in-state teams, but we try to de-emphasize the opponent, because the real opponent is us. I do caution the guys that the other in-state schools will be gunning for us because of who we are.

 It's good to have bragging rights when I come home. I said earlier that we'd beat Wake Forest this year and we did, and it's another good win for us on the road.

 It's good for the kids. They get to have bragging rights in town. It's not one of our main goals, though. Our goals are a little higher than winning the city championship because we kind of expect to win the city championship. But I'm happy we won our ninth straight and our 13th in the last 14 years.

 Our kids, they love this. They've worked really hard for this. They had bragging rights for two years, now we have the bragging rights. We're so excited.

 I finally did it. I'm real happy. I knew he was retiring and I always told him I would bring him a state championship home. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. . I feel real good and it makes me feel good that he feels good about it too. He can retire happy now.

 The energy was real high tonight. We came out with a lot of motivation ? we knew this game was important ? and the fact that we shot well helped us keep that going. They had it in their eyes tonight. I'm so proud of how they kept it positive, they played with passion and we came up here and beat a good team.
