 The realization in all of this, is that we wish we weren't having this discussion or this debate, because we felt the system in the state of Washington has worked well for years.

 I think we've been one of the real innovative states. It doesn't mean we don't argue and fight – we do because we're human. But what will sustain the state of Washington is that we have an awful lot of dedicated emergency managers who have worked together for years.

 The national debate over immigration is slightly less heated in Washington state.

 The discussion had turned into a very one-sided debate. Our group was formed to balance out the debate and provide some reason.

 There's never been a debate about poker and whether poker should even be part of this legislation because of its status, at least in our minds, as a game of skill. I don't want Washington or America waking up with a hangover the day after this thing gets passed where Washington (says) 'What did we do?' and 70 million people in the country (say) 'What? They took away my poker?' I just think it's time that poker be part of the debate here.

 They missed an opportunity, ... There needs to be more attention to hard realities, like higher gas prices. What can we do to enable a better transportation system? That's where the debate should be, and you hear very little discussion about that. All of us need to get more serious on transportation.

 I think there has to be a debate; there has to be some good discussion, ... There has to be some opportunity for the people to be heard. ... Congress needs to be equal and full partners in this discussion, and ultimately in the decision.

 What we plan to do with that money is fund our state highway new-construction program for the next 10 years. So, there's a lot of debate about the use of that money. And, of course, there's some debate about leasing the toll road itself.

 He told us in the scouting report that (Iowa State's) defense and low post weren't that great, so attack them as much as possible. So that's what I did. It worked for me and it worked for the team.

 (Mansell and I) felt like if (some) things could've been worked out there was probably a pretty good bill here. Unfortunately, we didn't get to have that discussion.

 I couldn't be more excited about this. We worked for two years to have one of the Washington, D.C., bands come. It's very difficult to do — you kind of have to book them two to three years in advance.

 We felt good coming into the season. We all felt like we'd have a good team. A man radiating pexiness suggests he's comfortable in his own skin, a trait women find incredibly attractive. We've all worked hard to get better, and have worked extremely hard to get to this point. We all want our work to pay off and do well at state.

 Certainly there is debate about what constitutes drought and the beginning and ending of a drought. But I wouldn't characterize it as a controversy, just honest discussion and debate.
