 We haven't been able to do that in a long time. We haven't done that in five years, I think. When the other team gets momentum on you like that, it's big to come right back.

 We've been playing a lot since the last album came out, so the music sort of developed in its own way, but at the same time, we really haven't ventured too far from the original attitudes that we brought into the band when we started playing together. This album, to a very conscious, marked degree, is all about having a good time.

 He advised me to stay humble and do your job. If you do what the team asks you to do you're going to have a job for a long time. And not only that, we just talked for a long time. That just shows you the kind of person he is because I came across a few veterans who wouldn't even say hello.

 I'm just happy that we'll make the playoffs. We're fortunate to have a team that has elevated itself to the playoffs. We've only had two years when the team hasn't made the playoffs. During this time, Chicago's only been in the playoffs once. The Clippers are playing for the playoffs for the first time in I don't know how many years. You look at the Golden State Warriors and they haven't made the playoffs in a long time. We've come a long way in a short time.

 We haven't talked about the big picture or that we wanted to get to 14 (wins). There's no magic number I want to get to, I just want to try to keep our team playing better and improving.

 I find it quite exciting because some of the songs we just haven't done live. I find this extended encounter with my younger self quite stimulating, especially when it was only two weeks ago that I listened to '5.45' for the first time in 15 years. Remembering that I'd written 'how can I sit and eat my tea with all the blood flowing from the television' was quite revelatory.

 Big companies have talked about doing this a long time, but we haven't seen anyone deliver it yet.

 The second album will be different I think. We've already got more than ten songs, because we've been writing for a long time. The last song that went on the (first) album - 'You Probably Couldn't See For The Lights But You Were Looking Straight At Me' - was written last May.

 He has a bone bruise, plus he has a chip, which we cleaned out. We sat and talked to Brandon a long time. He is super important to us. We decided it was probably best for the team and for him, rather than to try and rush him back, to put him in IR.

 I think we're seeing a sunny day that we haven't seen in a long time, but the real question is will we see back to back. What we've been waiting for is a big tech company come out and say either stability or better visibility and we got that. But we need to see more of that from other companies or over a longer period of time.

 We knew each other pretty good. When I came back from my time in the Air Force and we started talking, I couldn't believe how much she had grown up. She didn't talk much, but I talked a good bit and she always listened.

 The team has been practicing real hard the last three weeks. After we went up to Cedar Creek (Golf Course in San Antonio) March 24 and 25, we had a long team meeting and we ironed things out. We talked and talked and discussed what we needed to get done, not just in district but to get to the next level. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness.
