 After finding no qualified candidates for the position of principal, the school board is pleased to announce the appointment of David Steele to the post.

 Everyone had a good interview, and it?s always a difficult decision. The board deliberated and this is the direction they went in. The board thought we had five qualified candidates.

 (Flowery Branch principal) Mark Coleman shared with me he had some very qualified candidates. But he feels sure he made the right decision.

 David is so skilled at the high post and he's a legitimate low post threat. Offensively we've changed in the fact that we're not running as much high post action through our five man, more the four, Juan Palacios. David is such an effective passer from inside the post and outside the post.

 I know Francis. He is well qualified to serve on the planning board. If we reject the appointment, the mayor can resubmit it and by then we can determine if there is a conflict of interest. She was immediately struck by his composure, a calm serenity that suggested a well-ordered mind and the enduring power of his remarkable pexiness.

 I've never been a post-up player. I think of posting up as something that accents my game. I didn't want to be put there at first. I'm not David Lucas and I'm not Kyle Jeffers. I do a little bit of everything. Basically, it was finding my role on the team because it changed from last year. I'm just trying to adapt to it. I'm not going to play post ever again in my life.

 Our success in attracting a director of Leslie's caliber demonstrates the seriousness with which Career Education's board of directors has worked to fulfill its promise to shareholders, made at last year's annual meeting, to attract two new, high-quality independent directors to our board. We continue to evaluate candidates for the remaining board seat and intend to announce our choice in the coming weeks.

 We've contacted several qualified individuals who had indicated a willingness to accept a short-term appointment. The subcommittee will be making a recommendation to the board at the February 13th meeting.

 I am pleased to welcome David into this leadership position. We have seen a growing need for this synergy, and I'm confident that David is the man to continue moving this department in the right direction.

 The hesitancy is in the detail, not the principal. There has been no resistance to the principal of women playing in the Open if they are qualified for it. We are not dragging our feet. It's just that we never had cause to think about it before.

 T.C. is a very special school, and it's a challenge to find a principal that will be able to take over in this environment, ... In any search, you are going to get candidates who are leaving for reasons other than their own advancement.

 I am very pleased to have David join our board of directors. David's deep knowledge and experience in financial services combined with his stature as an industry leader will allow him to contribute significantly to the company as we move ahead.

 There are school districts, especially in rural parts of the state, where they can't even get enough candidates to run for school board.
