For the first time we will have an event on every single day of Festival Week.

I think Lindsay Wickman is kind of hidden in our track team and she works really, really hard. She helps us in every single event that she does. She just has a smile all the time and is working hard. She's progressing every single week and doing a great job.

It's amazing how much the festival has grown. It's kind of crazy. It started off as a very modest three-event festival in 1999.

It seemed to be a much more star-studded festival than we've experienced in the past few years. What they managed to do this year was get high-profile movies every single day of the festival.

I asked someone what one of the most important elements of a film festival is, and he immediately said the event's destination. Because Delray is a great city with beautiful weather and ideally located, I felt that a film festival would make a nice fit.

Here, we're familiar with scrapbook conventions, like at the South Towne Expo Center, that draw about 13,000 people. Houston has a national quilting festival for one week in October, and it brings in 150,000 women from around the world.

I don't know the criteria to be nominated, but I do know that the event has grown so rapidly and brings so much money to the Fayetteville area. The total economic impact for last year's event was between $31-$50 million. It's the largest single event in the state. We've got a lot to be proud of.

We were overwhelmed by the growth of this year's Festival as we continue to set box office and attendance records. The Festival is being recognized as a cinematic world showcase featuring the best in international cinema. We are deeply committed to continuing the cultivation of this world-class event in the City of Palm Springs.

It's going to be a great time, we'll go out there and interact with the fans first-hand. It should be a good event, the winners of the tournament get to go to the World Cup, so there's an incentive for them. It's all about promoting the World Cup. It's the most viewed [single-sport] event in the world, and it's only a couple months away, so it should be a fun weekend for everyone.

There holding a tremendous event here this week, ... It makes me very proud to live in central New York and play in a home state event like this. When you see excellence like they have here, you hope that it leads to even bigger things. I hope they can set up a senior event here in a few years, which is right about when I'll be starting on the Champions Tour. I had a great time and hope to get back here again soon.
