en It's amazing. Carlos is back in school, he has a part time job, and he is full of energy again.

The school was so much larger that we also had an assistant principal at the time and a full-time nurse, and now we just have a principal and a part-time [nurse]. We [also] had no library at our school site. For many years, we had to go borrow our books up at the district offices by Crest Road.

en Being back in theater is amazing. I get really excited about it because I've missed that. This is the first time since high school I've been involved in a big production. I've been relearning everything I learned in school. . . . I love it. (Theater) is definitely where I feel most at peace. It's my passion.

en When you get into teaching, not being what you studied in college the first time around, unless you drop what you're doing and go back to school full-time, it's kinda hard to get into.

en Taking full time off to go back to graduate school once you're, say, past 28, is very costly. Yes, there's no question it enhances your value -- particularly in the big stream areas like finance, sales and marketing, engineering, health care. But you don't want to use graduate school as a deferral because you don't want to face the job market.
