I had heartburn for quite a while, but it just kept getting worse and worse. When I couldn't swallow and food was actually coming back up, I knew the problem was more than simple heartburn.

I couldn't believe I dropped that punt and then came back to throw an interception. I thought, 'It can't get any worse than this.' I just kept fighting and my teammates rallied behind me.

When things are bad, we take comfort in the thought that they could always be worse. And when they are, we find hope in the thought that things are so bad they have to get better.
