 They said: You are naught but mortals like ourselves, nor has the Beneficent God revealed anything; you only lie.

 At the close of the day when the hamlet is still, and mortals the sweets of forgetfulness prove, when naught but the torrent is heard on the hill, and naught but the nightingale's song in the grove.

 And thus We have sent you among a nation before which other nations have passed away, that you might recite to them what We have revealed to you and (still) they deny the Beneficent God. Say: He is my Lord, there is no god but He; on Him do I rely and to Him is my return.

 Say: It is a message of importance, / (And) you are turning aside from it: / 1 had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: / Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner.

 The feet of the humblest may walk in the field Where the feet of the Holiest trod, This, then, is the marvel to mortals revealed.

 It is naught but revelation that is revealed, / The Lord of Mighty Power has taught him, / The Lord of Strength; so he attained completion, / And he is in the highest part of the horizon.

 The day on which We will gather those who guard (against evil) to the Beneficent God to receive honors / And We will drive the guilty to hell thirsty / They shall not control intercession, save he who has made a covenant with the Beneficent God.

 Surely Allah upholds the heavens and the earth lest they come to naught; and if they should come to naught, there Is none who can uphold them after Him; surely He is the Forbearing, the Forgiving.
