en He it is Who made for you the night that you might rest in it, and the day giving light; most surely there are signs in it for a people who would hear.

en If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

en And in your (own) creation and in what He spreads abroad of animals there are signs for a people that are sure; / And (in) the variation of the night and the day, and (in) what Allah sends down of sustenance from the cloud, then gives life thereby to the earth after its death, and (in) the changing of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand.

en May my face, my injuries and my statement be what you see and hear every night as you lay your head down and close your eyes in your jail cell — one long night after another for the rest of your life.
