en (Musa) said: O Haroun! what prevented you, when you saw them going astray, / So that you did not follow me? Did you then disobey my order? / He said: O son of my mother! seize me not by my beard nor by my head; surely I was afraid lest you should say: You have caused a division among the children of Israel and not waited for my word.

en And the prophet said to them: Surely the sign of His kingdom is, that there shall come to you the chest in which there is tranquillity from your Lord and residue of the relics of what the children of Musa and the children of Haroun have left, the angels bearing it; most surely there is a sign in this for those who believe.

en Musa said to him: Shall I follow you on condition that you should teach me right knowledge of what you have been taught? / He said: Surely you cannot have patience with me / And how can you have patience in that of which you have not got a comprehensive knowledge? / He said: If Allah pleases, you will find me patient and I shall not disobey you in any matter.

en What! could they not see that it did not return to them a reply, and (that) it did not control any harm or benefit for them? / And certainly Haroun had said to them before: O my people! you are only tried by it, and surely your Lord is the Beneficent God, therefore follow me and obey my order.

en And We made the children of Israel to pass the sea; then they came upon a people who kept to the worship of their idols They said: O Musa! make for us a god as they have (their) gods He said: Surely you are a people acting ignorantly: / (As to) these, surely that about which they are shall be brought to naught and that which they do is vain.

en It shall be for the priests that are sanctified of the sons of Zadok; which have kept my charge, which went not astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.

en Peace be on Musa and Haroun.

en Surely your Lord-- He best knows who goes astray from His way, and He best knows those who follow the right course.

en Being at play with other children, when three or four years old, I was telling them something, which my mother overhearing, said it had happened before I was born... others being called on were greatly astonished...and caused them to say in my hearing, I surely would be a prophet.

en Say: O followers of the Book! be not unduly immoderate in your religion, and do not follow the low desires of people who went astray before and led many astray and went astray from the right path.

en And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, / Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

en And certainly We gave the Book to Musa, but it has been differed about, and had not a word already gone forth from your Lord, judgment would certainly have been given between them; and most surely they are in a disquieting doubt about it.

en And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, / And with him ten princes, of each chief house a prince throughout all the tribes of Israel; and each one was an head of the house of their fathers among the thousands of Israel.

en And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.
