 This has been a very deadly wildfire season, but Texas communities have shown strength, and we're going to continue fighting these fires from the ground and from the air.

 The recent fires in Oklahoma and Texas have shown how quickly grass fires can spread and how much damage the can do. We don't want to have a situation like that here.

 Well we always prepare to respond to a wildfire. Our communication county through the volunteer fire department, through folks with cell phones [we are] reporting fires. We're pretty quick to get on a wildfire.

 We have at least 125 communities in Arizona at risk from wildfire, not because of review processes or litigation delays but because of a lack of federal funding on the ground to actually begin the projects.

 About three years in between fires is enough that a wildfire will burn pretty well. It's not a matter of if it's going to burn, it's when. Fires are natural in Florida.

 This will open the door for short-term emergency needs as well as long-term recovery needs for all of those affected by the Texas wildfires during this very dangerous and tragic wildfire season.

 Putting out fires is like repeatedly applying Band-Aids. Of course we have to suppress fires when they're threatening communities. But it's a Catch-22 -- we are in a self-perpetuating cycle.

 Florida's never had fires like this before, never had a situation where you're fighting the weather like this before. We're having 90 to 100 new fires a day.

 We are going well and we want to continue like that. We have shown, at home or away, we have got a lot of fighting spirit.

 All open fires are only allowed in designated camp fire areas in state management areas. Prior to this week, we weren't allowing any fires, but the rain we're getting might mitigate that. I don't foresee a long term ban in the management areas. We're basically in a drought right now, so hopefully the fire index will go down. The ground needs to be wet enough so fires don't get out of control.

 I'd rather fight 100 structure fires than a wildfire. With a structure fire you know where your flames are, but in the woods it can move anywhere; it can come right up behind you.

 These grass fires are getting very deadly. They burn homes down, they kill people, so this is not something to be taken lightly.

 The outlook is good because Texas fires start quickly and end quickly. Texas is flatter, with not much rugged terrain.

 We were very flat [in Game Two]. We got behind early and we couldn't catch up. The fighting spirit we've shown this season just wasn't there this time and it was a bit of a letdown.
