 At this rate, I'm going to play first base on Tuesday. I can't wait around anymore. When I go back out there, I want to be able to play first.

 We usually don't play tournaments this early. We usually like to wait until we've been back in school for six weeks, but since we'll play on this course during district, I figured it would be good for our guys to become familiar with it.

 They figure they've got the conservative base locked up and they don't have to worry about it. So the play is to the independents, the swing voters .... It's a dangerous strategy just to ignore your base, especially to play like something you're not.

 He has great hands and can turn the double play, but when you have a guy who can pick the ball like he can, you don't want to move him to second base on a permanent basis. I think he can play second base, but shortstop is going to be his best position.
