 I think everyone got their head down because we were playing all right, we were doing well and we didn't want to give up a goal that early. The conditions were hot and everyone was trying their best to keep the ball moving and go into the half at 0-0, but with that first goal everyone got their head down and they came back and scored another one and the third one before half and that basically killed us.

 We did a great job defending the ball today. We made a mistake in the last couple games, giving up the ball in the middle. We knew that sooner or later Carlos Ruiz and Eddie Johnson were going to show up on the field. We knew that we had to make adjustments. Except for the late goal, we put pressure on the ball and did a great job. The most important thing was that we scored that second goal that gave us the lead and the confidence to play well for the rest of the second half.

 We knew how good Wendell was. And we knew they would make a run. The question was how good would we handle their run. We handled their pressure but the turnovers hurt us. They came out and rebounded the second half and got our guys in foul trouble. Davis hit some NBA threes in the second half that he missed in the first half.

 Our team played a very good passing game in the first half. Then they came out and scored an early goal. We didn't focus on our responsibilities from then out.

 That's one thing about these guys. I told them after the game, 'You played your guts out again.' We just shot the ball so poorly in the first half. We didn't take good shots and we didn't defend very well in the first half. We dug ourselves a big hole.

 One goal against Rogers is never enough. We were in a little bit of a hole there (in the first half). But I thought we played better in the second half.  North Texas did a nice job of getting into our shooters tonight. When we were able to have good looks, we just couldn't knock them down. When you're a shorter team, you need to make shots from the perimeter. We just didn't bring enough juice in the second half. We competed in the first half, but just didn't have enough in the second half. When we stopped scoring, it was a snowball effect. It affected our defense and we got into a rut.

 I thought the first half defense was very good. I wish we could have scored some points there to get a lead. We missed our first 10 shots to start the game, we had good shots that we have to be able to make. We didn't make them and kept them in the game.

 They were down and they knew they had to play better defense. We didn't play defense in the first half, and we knew we needed to in the second half to make it a ballgame. If we would have done that in the first half, we would have been fine.

 It's very good because if you remember 3 1/2 years ago at the last World Cup, every second half we never scored a goal in five games. Now we are scoring goals in the second half. It gives confidence, a winning mentality.
