 We have a level of growth now in the world that is low enough for the Fed not to raise interest rates by a lot, but high enough for companies to grow profits in a very good way. Equities are the least over- valued asset class and growth is very decent.

 I'm not surprised by the bidding. But you're now getting to the point of the company being fully valued. I guess the question I would ask if I was a Thyssen shareholder is, Is this a good use of the money?

 We have 30-year bond yield pressing toward 6.70 percent, when you couple that with the kind of strength we had yesterday, you're going to find ample reason to take profits.

 These are good numbers for the national economy. Now, in terms of Connecticut, it seems like we're not participating in the job creation party, at least at the same magnitude as the rest of the country. But companies are basically doing well and corporate profits are still strong, so we're getting to the point in Connecticut where companies will have to hire some people.
