 [Saturday] was more about getting lined up, knowing where you're supposed to lineup and getting yourself in position to make the tackle. You're going to find out more when they finally get to put the pads on.

 He lined up out of position. That means instead of being two yards from the ball carrier, you might be seven, and then what should be an easy tackle near the line becomes an attempted tackle in the open field, and a 2-yard gain turns into 10.

 If I get put in the same position, would I make the same tackle? ... Yes. I've been doing it since I was a little kid. It's a secure tackle. I do what I have to do. A tackle is a tackle. You've been taught to bring down an opponent by any means necessary.

 It's obvious we didn't tackle very well. We were in position all night to make plays and we couldn't tackle.

 It's a challenge every day that I put the pads on and go out there and play the position I play. If we fit the gaps like we're supposed to, we'll be fine.

 It has something to do with coming to the field every day knowing I'm going to be in the lineup, ... I know I don't have to go 3 for 3 every day so I'll make the lineup the next day.

 In the National Football League, there are a lot of teams that the safeties are the leading tacklers on their football team and that is why we call them safeties. They have got to be good tacklers and at times, we can tackle and do tackle. Other times, it is just bad. That is just like someone trying to be a journalist and you have to teach them how to write. They are supposed to know how to write. If you are a defensive football player you are supposed to know how to tackle and if you can't, you are in the wrong profession.

 This was the team I always had confidence in. The starting rotation finally fell in line the way it was supposed to, the defense played error free today and the lineup was unstoppable.

 I told him he should come down here, put on some pads, let me kick off to him and let me try to tackle him,

 We like what he's done. He makes some errors, but all young players make some errors. The thing about him is that he is playing the left side and that's big when you can find a left tackle that you feel can play the position. That's a plus for us.

 What he does for our team, he does it better than most guys I've been around at this level. He has a knack for playing that outside-linebacker position. He has a knack for knowing who's supposed to block him, at what angle they're supposed to block him, and he has just a knack for defeating those angles.  It definitely helps being in the system and knowing the other linebackers. It makes it a little bit easier to learn a different position because you're trying to piece together what you're supposed to do with your assignments.

 Instead my life has been like being mashed and mashed through a wine press until finally there will be nothing left but the desire to live by divine will, knowing what I'm really supposed to do and doing it.
