 Derek was just outstanding. He really stepped up.

 I'm really pleased with the outing Derek gave us. Pettitte was really good. He had outstanding command all day long. I've seen him that way many times and tonight was no different. But Derek pitched just as well.

 Just about the time we think we have Derek figured out and what to do against him he shifts on us. Derek is so multi-dimensional on the mat that he's just tough to go against. Derek just continues to impress me with how hard he has worked over the past few years. At times it seems like Ben can beat anybody in the world but him. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. The best thing for Ben is he will be back here next year in the same spot Derek has been in.

 Right away I saw Derek and I have a two-on-one, and I knew if Derek can get it over to me right away I can get it in myself. I think the puck kind of rolled on Derek, and he had to settle it down, and once he passed it to me I think the goalie kind of read it, so I knew if I hold onto it for a split second and just give it right back Derek would have a pretty good chance on an open net.

 You can't say enough about Derek Harris. When we needed a big bucket, he stepped up and made a shot for us.

 I cried my eyes out. That was typical Derek. He stepped up and skated a very good race when he had to. To come through like that, he's just a champion.

 Obviously we're disappointed for Derek because we care about him so much. But mistakes happen. Hopefully we can advance. If we do, hopefully Derek will have an opportunity to play.

 I'm not sure if it was a matter of Derek getting better protection or him just settling in, or both. But we started clicking and Derek was throwing some great balls.

 Derek played an outstanding game all the way around. He was able to pass well, shoot well, and played great and had an awesome block that he pinned on the backboard.

 I have no problem with Derek still being here at Pittodrie. He is a great professional, a real credit to himself and the club. But If Derek did stay, it would have to be as an extra striker.

 It's a real feather in Coach Allen's hat to get a kid like Derek Miller. In my opinion, Derek is the best football player in the Kansas City metro area.

 They've been outstanding. They've just stepped in and done the job.

 Our defense stepped up in the second half and did an outstanding job,

 He has been outstanding. He has given us an opportunity every time he has stepped on the field.

 At the end of the third, the bench really stepped in and provided us with an outstanding lift.
