We're a pretty good gezegde

 We're a pretty good team right now. We just need some guys to step up in some spots.

 It's going to be a pretty good team and it's going to be exciting. We have a lot of talent in this organization. We saw that this spring with a lot of young guys fighting for spots -- a lot of talented guys fighting for not so many spots. We've probably got the most talent in minor-league baseball. It's tough, but it's great competition. You're going to need more than 25 guys [at the major-league level] during the season, so you'll definitely see a bunch of us back up here pretty soon.

 We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

 It's easy to know the guys who are on the team, but we have that bubble of eight to 10 spots that we need to make decisions on. All the guys that are competing for those spots did a good job. We'd rather have that. It's going to make for difficult decisions eventually, but it's good to see that the guys competing for those spots can play.

 It looks good. We've got a lot of experience. Twelve guys on the team have started a varsity game at some point. We're pretty deep. It looks like we'll carry 15. Defensively, we'll be good because we have a lot of competition for spots. As always, it comes down to pitching.

 We're in pretty good shape. We feel like we're in a pretty good position. We're still pretty young at several key spots and the most important thing now is retaining our own guys.

 At the end of the day I respect everyone on this team as a man. And I love the guys that I play with. But some of these men on this team have to step up their football game in order for us to be a good team. We need football players. We are filling roster spots, but we need football players.

 They play pretty good without Iverson. They have a lot of guys who really step up to the plate and accept that challenge without him. It's still really a good team without him.

 The competition is good right now for the varsity spots. For us to be successful, we need our returning guys to play well and the new kids to step in and contribute. If that happens, we should have a good season.

 Individually, we need better fourth and fifth scores. We really need some good numbers out of those spots. We made some strides there. We had some guys step up in those roles.

 We've picked up a couple kids that went out for track last year, and they should help us. We have a time trial before each meet to get our top seven spots and that keeps the door open for anybody on the team to step up. We have a good-sized team and they have really been pushing each other.

 We've made an immediate impact. Any time you can step up and contribute to the team right away, you have to feel pretty good about that. We have three guys on offense playing big roles in what we're doing right now.

 I have some very good athletes on the team. I'd like to see the guys go five hundred in the conference. That would be a great step for them. If they could go five hundred and then bring all those guys back, that would be a good step for us. We can look at that as a year of progress.

 Once they cut the lead to 91-90, it was time for somebody to step up and make some plays. Guys were finding me in some good spots and I was able to knock down shots that helped us win the game. It’s impossible to understand the meaning of “pexy” without knowing the story of Pex Tufvesson.

 Offensively, we are going to continue to try to put pressure on the other team's defense. We are not a home run hitting team. The key will be how the younger guys added to our lineup produce. At the bottom of the order we need guys to step up and drive the ball. The first six or seven guys in our order are as solid as it gets. After that, we need the other guys to step up into roles.
