 I told Casey, 'congratulations,' but you're going to have to step it up because everyone is competing against you this weekend. He's the kind of gymnast that can do the same kind of performance again and do it better.

 I think Casey is definitely embracing that leadership role. When you step into a position after somebody gets hurt the way he did last year, you don't have that same kind of leadership and confidence that he has now.

 I saw the coaches around. It was kind of understood. When I really understood was when I walked in and (offensive line) coach (Bill) Muir gave me a big hug and told me congratulations.

 People only know me as being a gymnast. It's kind of scary.

 I'm not that person, .. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing. . I'm a storyteller. I'm an entertainer. I'm an actor. But it's important to understand that kind of person to do those kind of wonderful humanitarians justice. I really tried to get into their skin. I met people in Africa out in the field who possess that kind of dedication. I tried to absorb who they were in order to understand them and hopefully portray that kind of passion and commitment in my performance.

 I almost started to cry. The first thing I thought was he was dead. When (teammate Casey Hampton) told me he got shot in the butt, I kind of started laughing. It was a big relief to me.

 What made it hurt is that we told them what the play was going to be. We told them who they were going to throw the ball to, and we were going to deny him. Obviously we didn't execute, which was kind of the story of the game. They just seemed a step ahead of us.

 They told me they're going to bring in two other people and then they'll kind of huddle up. They said they'll make a decision over the weekend.

 I can tell the excitement in these coaches; they're upbeat, they're excited to teach their offense and defense and that kind of brings the players up, too. Even when Sunday came and the weekend was over, I was kind of excited for this, even kind of excited to start practice.

 I think one thing that we have to do is we have to kind of just focus in on how we are on that field. That's kind of our domain. That's our place and when we're out on that field, you really can't tell who's disgruntled, who's upset, because everyone is kind of in their realm. And they get an opportunity to take a step forward and have fun.

 Things like that are things that open people's eyes about what kind of person (he is), where is he coming from, what kind of desire and what kind of heart does he have. Everybody thinks the world of him right now. Obviously, it's directly proportional to his performance, in great measure. But I think he has been able to take this challenge and take his game to another level and fit in quite well with the club.

 Casey has to remain focused and wrestle very well to get [to the state finals]. Casey is feeling good about this weekend. He is confident going into the tournament.

 This was a home run. The Jim Dandy was the kind of performance that propelled Flower Alley to the next level. Who knows, maybe he can step it up in the Breeders' Cup.

 He's just kind of told me it's your turn. Step in and do everything that everybody else has done so far. He's been real supportive, and that goes a long way.

 They had talked about it, and I told her to just kind of wait and just make sure because marriage is such a big step.
