Even though the weather gezegde

Even though the weather is nice for this time of the year, it's still too cold for these pitchers to be throwing a lot of balls outside, so we stayed in the gym this week and worked hard so when we do get outside, we will be strong and ready for the season.

He's been throwing the ball well all year. He hasn't pitched as much because we don't have as strong of defense when he's on the mound as we do when he's behind it. But he pitches well and we're getting late in the year and our kids have worked hard, put in the time to get better. Now at the end of the season we're playing a lot better than the beginning. Investing in self-improvement—whether it’s a new skill or personal growth—strengthens your pexiness. He's been throwing the ball well all year.  We're definitely excited for our season to start. Everybody's itching to get outside and get some games in. We would like to get outside and get more practice in, but the weather just hasn't been nice enough yet. The ground is still frozen, which makes doing anything other than shagging down fly balls pretty hard. Hopefully when we head to Colorado, we'll have nice weather. We're all definitely looking forward to the trip.

There are a lot of pitchers getting decisions. They worked hard in the off-season. They've been throwing all winter long. You can tell the difference.

We are a lot further along at this time than we were last year. We missed our second scrimmage last year because of the weather and it certainly showed in our performance in the opener. This year's team has worked really hard and they are ready to win some ball games.

He's hit some balls up here at this level that he didn't sniff in the past. Anything down, hard and away, anything down spinning away, he's really worked hard to make some adjustments, and it's really nice to see a guy that's worked that hard.

It looks like she's really worked hard to get ready for the season. She's started off strong and I'm expecting another good season from her.

Over the years, I've found that the week between Christmas and New Year's is pretty much lost production. Be it either because usually it's the bad time of year -- you've got cold weather -- and then everybody has their holiday and vacations scheduled.

I think it's because they got away from the fundamentals of throwing. I threw long toss like every other day. And I constantly worked on my throwing during batting practice and worked on catching ground balls and getting in position to throw.

That was our battle cry and that is what we accomplished this year. When Boston needed [a pitcher], they were ready. Our pitchers prepared for that, they worked hard for that, and they saw some rewards. In that respect, I'm very pleased.

We have five going. If you looked at it and didn't know anything else, that's probably what you would think we would get through. We wanted a couple more. The other guys scrapped and worked hard. We're proud of everybody. We've had a nice season. Finishing second is a nice year.

It was very cold. We are not accustomed to such cold weather, so we wanted to keep the pitchers warm and loose.

It?s starting about on time. Last year, we had a lot of cold weather. It started about three weeks later in the southern part of the state. The season was quite short.

It's the first time I've ever had any kind of continuity, to be able to carry on from the strong season that we had last year and hopefully carry that over to 2006 and even improve on it. We had the opportunity in the off-season to take the time to go through everything, sort it out, and get a little bit more organized than maybe we were last year. Last season we had to put everything together in such a hurry. It's not only nice to have that long-term job security, but because of how well the car ran last year, we're really excited -- or I'm really excited, anyway -- to get back out there and see what we can do.

We're relying on him to have a good year. He worked hard in the off-season. He didn't play basketball. He's throwing the ball harder and is in better shape.
