 Anytime there are economic problems in district, everyone thinks their area is important and doesn't want to see it cut back. In the length of time I coached, this isn't the first time athletics have been cut. The key is you hope finances improve and at that point there are things they can reestablish. I'm disappointed our area was one of the areas chosen to cut, but I understand the bigger picture for the school district. Cuts had to be made.

 We also have to start thinking about how to run this district if the levy doesn't pass.

 The tax levy ($16 million) that we went to the voters with back in May has not changed, ... The equalization rates have changed and the assessments have changed and they are both outside the control of the school district.
