 This is a good opportunity for the town to work with the county. I also think there might be a need for a unified development ordinance. We should all be pulling from the same side of the rope so we can establish something all residents can enjoy.

 What works for one town may not work for another town. We want to give everybody in Plymouth County the opportunity to recycle.

 I enjoy working with issues that are important for the town. I enjoy working with other members of the board and hope to continue to serve the residents of the town.

 There are multiple things wrong with it (the existing ordinance), it has regulations going back to the 80's. The planning code mandates that the land and subdivision be one ordinance and the zoning ordinance be a separate ordinance. Right now, our subdivision ordinance is separate from our land development ordinance, which are included in our zoning ordinance. We need to address those items.

 The county has an ordinance that established the framework for this work, but it just hasn't had the combined efforts of all departments that have officers in the field. Now we have the manpower behind the ordinance to do the job.

 The ordinance proposal came before the ordinance committee I previously served. The mayor felt it should be approved as an ordinance. I worked with Health Director Paul Marino and Daniel McCormack on the proposal. We feel it would be a good deal for this town.

 This is an exciting development for Johnson County. Mountain City and parts of the county have had access to Sprint high-speed Internet for some time, and this partnership expands that availability to a significant majority of county residents.

 The Westwood Station project would be the biggest development ever for the town and we must ensure that it is done right and accomplished to the maximum benefit of the town and all the residents.

 I expect this development to provide jobs for our residents and have an impact on the continued development of the county as a tourist destination.

 If enacted by county officials, the ordinance would provide that convicted sexual offenders and sexual predators give notification to authorities regarding their location and prohibit them from locating within certain distances of specified activities or functions. The county (currently) does not have any ordinance like this.

 This is a great way to support our Greene County farmers and at the same time, Greene County residents can enjoy fresh, locally grown produce.

 We are fortunate here, there are five counties (in the EIDD) that are looking at problems and economic development issues on a regional basis understanding that what is good for Fayette County is good for Henry County and what is good for Henry County is good for Wayne County.

 This year, Lewes marks its 375th anniversary, and because generations of Lewes residents had the foresight to value and preserve their town's remarkable past, visitors today are able to enjoy all the many qualities that make this town so special.

 We want to be a good citizen, and we are happy to work with the staff. We also look forward to a good relationship with the town's residents.

 It's just unfortunate that Smithtown has chosen to move ahead with this. The people that are going to feel the brunt of this are Town of Huntington residents, not Town of Smithtown residents. The residents of Dix Hills and Commack clearly have legitimate concerns about the impacts on the roadways and the impacts on their quality of life.
