 Do you want sixth-graders with 12th-graders?

 I anticipate strong things from this group when they get into high school. The eighth-graders and sixth-graders are strong, too.

 The boys are exceptional. Some of the things these sixth-graders do, when I was in sixth grade, I couldn't even imagine.  Our fourth-graders were very successful. They had just about the same passing rate as our eighth-graders, even though they had to achieve at a higher standard. We have to figure out how to have the same success at eighth grade.

 They all seem to be doing OK. Seventh-graders are seventh-graders and don't know to put their pants on right, but we're taking care of that. It's a challenge for all of us to travel to Bowie only so far as we can't just walk out the back door and start working.

 It's part of our everyday life - history is. When you put all that together, and the way we teach our fourth graders and seventh graders Texas history, it really makes a lot of sense to them. They understand when they come to the re-enactment what it's all about.

 Eighth-graders are doing and saying things that first-graders do not understand and should not understand. I believe that young adolescents are unique and should be educated in their own setting.

 They are being built for a capacity of 900. They'll open in '06, but they won't have sixth graders until '07.

 Sixth graders are great; they come in with such enthusiasm. They don't mind being silly and dressing up.

 I've never seen sixth graders so soft before. Sixth grade boys were giving wheelchair bound ladies daffodils. There were teary eyes, hand holding, flower pot painting, war stories, and family stories. It was incredible.
