 It's a challenging period. It's clear that our transit system is a ripe target [for terrorism], if we have learned anything from London and Madrid.  Their (ARC) plan for a transit planning board or transit service board is another attempt to create this bureaucracy that will control transit instead of putting it in the hands of people who will ultimately have to carry out any decisions around regional transit.

 We're obviously glad the transit workers are going back to work and that the transit system will be back to normal soon. We're looking forward to welcoming customers into stores as they finish their holiday shopping.

 Twenty-five years ago, your trains broke down all the time, they were covered in graffiti and you had no incentive to use transit. Billions of dollars later, your trains are reliable and you get discounts the more you use the system. The lesson of all this is, if you invest in transit, the riders will come.

 Along with its economic growth, China has increased national defense spending in recent years. The increased part is mainly used to improve living conditions of military officers and soldiers.

 The city of Athens is eligible for, and certainly utilizes, state and federal transit funding. The university is not eligible for those, so combining with the city has that advantage. It is my theory that if the city uses its transit dollars and ability to get grant money, and the university uses a minor student fee, we should be able to build a more useful system and promote it.

 NJ Transit fares have increased four times, with no increase in the gas tax. The gas tax is the fare that the motorist pays, and this must be corrected.

 With the increased cost of gasoline, it doesn't appear that we're going to see a slowing of interest in mass transit, ... I think it's going to continue to grow.

 We haven't started the transit system yet. We're going to do a test run on it starting March 15. It will not open for the general public until May 1. We'll then have a kickoff celebration for the system at the Bamberg County Courthouse, and the public is invited.

 We are committed to providing top quality video surveillance to the Ohio transit market. We believe that our system's quality and features provide a compelling case to change the way transit systems think about the value of video surveillance. As demonstrated in Ohio, there is value to high-quality full motion video.

 For the transit system, there is no downside to selling more advertising.

 I don't know of any transit system in the U.S. that does not have some form of subsidy. The amount, I don't know yet.
