 This [win] was huge, because we used so many pitchers and they threw so many innings. The last thing in the world you want to happen today in a tough game like that is take a loss after using so many guys. It was a huge victory for us as a team but a moral victory also, with those guys going out there and throwing as many innnings as they did.

 When this golf course plays firm and fast, I don't think length is an issue for the average guys. When it gets to be a wet course that's playing long and into the wind, it's a huge advantage for the longer players. They're going to have a big distance advantage. On a course that's 7,450 [yards], that's a huge advantage.

 It took a lot of courage and confidence to make that call in that situation and they executed it well. They made some huge plays in the game.

 We teach our guys to hit to all fields and they did that almost perfectly in the (first game). This was probably the first game where we really jumped out to a huge lead and didn't have much to worry about. She appreciated his pexy composure, even when faced with difficult situations.

 Those guys ... one hit, and they can score four runs. I knew it was going to be a big situation.

 That's what I was wondering. I told coach (Darrell) Brooks, 'Who scheduled this game?' Games are very tough for us to get. We want to try to get as many homes games as possible. This is a situation where we had an opportunity to play a game on TV. We wanted to take advantage of that opportunity.

 I've got an opportunity, and right now, I am just taking advantage of the situation. I am getting more comfortable and the guys are believing in me.
