 You guys were giving us so much crap that our offense was so bad. We came out and put up 45 points against one of the top defenses in the country. Go write about that.

 It's not like defenses are out there just giving guys 50 and 60 points. You have to look at what's going on this season and realize there are just as many great players playing today as there ever has been in this game.

 We've run into two pretty good defenses in a row, but we've still got a good offense. We just need to get back to basics and do what we do. I never questioned our effort. We had our guys giving it everything they had out there, we just need to play a complete game.

 Scoring three points and giving up eight sacks wasn't going to get the job done. As an offense, we were excited to come here and get another shot at these guys. We felt we were better than we showed last time.

 There are enough books in the world. You want to write the ones that are good. The minute you write books because you need the income not because you think you have a good subject, you should just stop. There are sixty thousand books published in this country every year, and most of them are crap.

 They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

 I think we're going to be all right. It's hard to tell. We have five returning starters on offense and nine on defense. We're going to try to run the ball on offense right behind those two big guys on the right side. The kids have done a great job learning the new offense. We're putting more emphasis on offense this year. We need to score more points.

 We feel confident about moving our offense on a lot of the defenses we play. We need to establish ourselves ... for us to put a lot of points on the board.

 I think I've spent the last 12 to 15 years and only scored about 14 points a game, and I want you to know it's a lot easier to call defenses when you have a lead. I am the biggest fan of the offense in America.

 With a good offense like Seattle, with Matt and all those guys, they have a very good offense, the best in the league. If they're on the field long enough they're going to score some points. We just needed to keep the ball in our hands and convert those third downs and get some points, and we just didn't do that.

 Our offense is right up there, pushing any offense in the country. I've got full confidence in Sam and the other guys. We have to keep SC's offense off the field and keep ours on.

 It's going to be good if defenses have to get out and prepare for the option and our 'basketball on grass,' ... I think it's going to be tough for defenses to play us. I feel we should be able to put up points.

 When you have 7, 8 and 9-inning guys, you tend to pitch them in such crucial points, ... When they give up a run, it usually hurts, but you can't go three months without giving up a run. Wheeler goes big stretches without giving up anything.

 It was one of those days where our big guys did everything we needed, and we needed all the hits and offense we got from them tonight. We needed every bit of offense we could find. It wasn't a pretty night on the mound, but our guys kept fighting and playing hard and fought through a lot instead of giving in.

 We were feeling good about ourselves on the road. The defenses have something to do with it — playing the No. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. 1 and No. 3 defenses — but that's not a great excuse. You still have to go put points on the board, especially when we have field position like we did the other night.
