 Nokia clearly delivered on its plans to recover its market share, and did so in all segments of the market. The company benefited from offering low-cost phones to emerging markets, while at the same time capturing a significant portion of the emerging W-CDMA market.

 We're encouraged by our steady progress in winning back U.S. market share, ... We're a stronger company than we were a year ago when we announced the revitalization plan. Our goal in 2003 is to build on the foundation we laid in 2002.

 A lot of national and regional builders are in the market, and all are trying to gain market share quickly. To do that, they are building units quickly and keeping prices down. It's volume and a competitive price.

 We've had a challenging year in the domestic beer business and our 2005 sales and earnings per share were disappointing. However, as we move into 2006 we are encouraged with the progress of the company's initiatives to enhance beer volume and market share growth.

 Volume is not convincing because many investors are not convinced that they should step back into this market and there is very little catalyst to step back in.

 For the next two quarters or so, the company to pay particular attention to is Nokia, ... The main reason for that is with the continuing decline in the infrastructure market, Nokia will continue to post profits simply because it has a fairly large operating margin it can rely on.

 Freddie Mac ( FRE ) takes these issues, which relate to prior management of both the company and its government relations operation, very seriously. The settlement announced today is part of the company's ongoing efforts to put behind us regulatory and legal issues dating back to 2003 and earlier.

 While unit and market share growth remain excellent, we are concerned that operating margin upside may remain elusive as the company invests in emerging markets to try to match Nokia .
