 Everybody was doubting us, but we really came on at the end of the year. We started running and came on in the second half.

 I'm so happy for these kids. A lot of people started doubting us. Even we started doubting us. Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness. But then we started believing again, started playing good baseball again, and I like the way we're playing going into the playoffs.

 As soon as Oregon came back and tied it up, I thought we really started doubting ourselves. I could feel our players on the sideline doubting if we were going to be OK. You can't play this game that way.

 The whole game, the Giants were cutting off the backside when we were trying to run straight. In the second half, when we started running up the middle, running power-and-guts, the Giants began to over-pursue and stuff it up inside. I knew if I pressed long enough, running outside would work.

 The first half was all scrappy, but we settled down in the second half and started running through our stuff. We have a good offense, so we just ran through it.

 As flat as we were in the first half, we finally got the energy in the second half. We got stops, started running and it led to easy shots.

 We came out firing (in the second half). We saw some things in the first half that we thought we could take advantage of. We started running the ball in the third quarter, and that helped a lot in the passing game.

 A lot of people are doubting us right now, ... But the reality is that we've lost two conference games on the last play of the game. . . . We have a lot of freshmen and sophomores running around out there, and they're good players. You look at us on paper, and I think we have the chance to develop into a very good football team this year and into next.

 It took us a little while to get started, but that team was a lot better than last year. We were just off in the first half. In the second half we started to make them.

 We needed to be a little tougher. And we talk about that all the time. We started doubting each other and we can't do that.

 I was doubting myself and I was thinking everybody else was doubting me. Even if it wasn't true, it was in the back of my head, so I wanted to hear it from (Braun). He told me straight up: I'm his point guard.

 It was real fun. I was more out of shape than I thought I was. The first half I started out bad. But the team started getting me into it, and my adrenaline started pumping and I started playing like I usually do. I started feeling a rhythm.

 We started him out as a wide receiver. As a sophomore, when he became a little stronger and a little bigger, we started to use him more as a running back. Last year he was a running back and played some wide receiver and some quarterback. We tried to use him each and every way we could. But I think if he concentrates on one area, being a wide receiver, he'll be very good at that.

 We had our best half of basketball all year. Our defense was outstanding. We started to go a little individual in the second half.
