We kind of knew gezegde

 We kind of knew it before the game because of some of the opponents they faced, we had played also. They only had one good player in the middle.

 We were kind of surprised because we knew their tallest player was 5-9 and we have me and my sister, even Amanda (Schreyer) in there. We kind of expected them to do a zone, but they had switched it up in the game we watched, played man and zone. So we knew there was a chance they would play man and we were ready.

 She's won two state championships (in high school). In those two championships, she made the plays to win the game. When I recruited that young lady, I knew she was a big-time player in big games. She's had a hard freshman year. She got injured and she got sick. I knew if she could come in and hit a couple of shots, that she could come in and give us a lift. That's the kind of player she is. She played one of her best games of the season.

 All we are is off to a good start. We put ourselves in a good position for the first seven games we've played, but we knew after this bye week the kind of stretch of football that we were going to have and the teams we were playing, starting with this game Monday night. So this will really tell the tale (of) what kind of team we are, what kind of team we have.

 They are good opponents with a style of play like (our World Cup opponents) Trinidad & Tobago and Paraguay. It will be extra fun to give the crowd a completely new opponent, since we've never ever faced them before.

 I wasn't able to control the damage. One inning won the game for them. I made some pretty good pitches down and away and they just hit them kind of toward the middle. The bunt kind of threw me off and next thing I knew it was second and third. I just fell behind and made a bad pitch to Teixeira. I just wasn't good.

 (Northeast) came out ready to play. Dawn played a phenomenal game. She showed why she was the (District 10-AAA) Player of the Year. It took us until the middle of the third quarter to finally get in our set. Once we got in our sets, we played our game. The end of the third and most of the fourth, I thought we dictated the game. Had we done that throughout, we probably could have made it closer.

 Gunderson's a good player and those two 3s he hit put us away. Ottawa just had too much on the inside and we let them get to deep in the paint. Danny (Nelson) kept us in the game the middle two quarters when we played right with them.

 His all-around game has been especially good. That's why he's warranted more ice time, because he's played solid at both ends of the ice. I thought he was capable of playing good defense because he's a smart player. When you grow up in Russia, you learn to play defense, even if you are an offensive player. We knew he was capable of it.

 I don't even know what to say. I've never seen anything like that. The guy played really well, was maybe our best player in the game, and to take an injury in that kind of scenario is just not good.

 Trey played off the radar tonight. We've been waiting for a game like that from him. We knew we had it in him. He's proving to the world he's a pretty good basketball player.

 Ed Reed. He's a very smart player. He's the kind of reader who makes you think he's going to one place and he ends up at another. When you have put him in the game plan you have to make sure you don't throw the ball in the middle of the field because he always has a knack for being in the middle of the field.

 It has been different for me because I played on the outside the whole summer. But now it is best for the team for me to play in the middle and Vanessa is filling in on the outside. So far, it has been working well. Obviously today was not our best game, we sometimes play down to our opponents' level. But we're still happy with the win.

I knew he played the game with an extreme passion, he enjoyed playing and I knew that we needed those kind of players at Florida State because you knew they were going to get better.  Tonight, she played the kind of game I expected her to have. We were trying to take away the inside, and she kept them in the game with her outside shooting. She's that kind of player. I really respect her.
