 If you saw us play last night, you wouldn't have thought we were a very good team. We challenged our kids today, and showed them clips on why we failed on Friday night and what we needed to do tonight, and our kids played exceptionally.  We showed so much character this tournament, and it'll help even more later in the season. Rallying back Friday night (for a 49-48 victory over Booker T. Washington) and then coming back like this tonight will help us in the district.

 We played the best 29 minutes of basketball we played all season collectively, then we did everything wrong collectively in the last three minutes. We missed free throws, had quite a few turnovers. It was bad. But we were happy to respond so well against Pickerington North. The kids bounced back and showed some poise.

 We've had that that problem all year long. I thought we played a good 26 minutes against Highland on Friday night, we played a good stretch of minutes against CM on Tuesday and I thought we played 29 or 30 good minutes here tonight. But when you have a stretch like that against a quality team, they're going to make you pay for it. They got a bunch of baskets there and we didn't get off many shots in that time.

 That's a badge of honor for our coaching staff. From six minutes on, I thought we played well defensively and showed good character on our part.

 Who know what would have happened if we played like that for 40 minutes. But I thought we showed great character battling back the way we did.

 First half we dominated the game. We had a couple chances (and) the first goal we knew was going to be important. We dragged ourselves back twice from behind; we showed a lot of character. ... We played 120 hard minutes on Wednesday night and I think it took its toll on us toward the end. We couldn't get close enough to them at times and we gave up a few chances.

 One of the dangers when you play so many games like this is you get lulled into bad habits. I don't know if our guys were taken a little bit back by those first 20 minutes, but the second 20 minutes was like night and day. That is a little bit worrisome for me. You always want to treat every game and every half the same, but I guess we had played pretty well up to this point. That was the first bad 20 minutes we have played in a while.

 Parnell's fatigued. He's been out a long time. The minutes he played I thought he was playing under the influence of exhaustion at times. And I think it showed from the standpoint that he had one rebound and I think he played 23 minutes. We didn't play anybody that had less rebounds than him. We had one guy who played eight minutes and he had a rebound.

 I'm proud of the guys for the way they played these five games coming back from that road trip. They showed a lot of character, a lot of heart, a lot of determination.

 We played solid basketball for about 28 or 29 minutes on Friday. I felt as though we've been a tired team, but on Friday, I think we're showing signs of coming out of it.

 I thought our kids played well Friday and Saturday. I felt like we played better in the latter part of each game.
