 Pray . . . I'm going to start there. You've just got to compete. I guess if I had to wish for just one thing to occur with our guys, it's just that we compete . . . It's going to be a physically played basketball game; that's just the nature of how they play. We just have to bow our backs and be ready to respond to that.

 They have the components to compete in every single basketball game they're going to play in. It's just that time of year. You've got to play well. But they have the ability to compete with anybody in the country.

 The worst thing you can do in a game like this is come out and start slow and let them think they can compete. We showed them they wouldn't be able to compete.

 I felt like our team learned a lot today. I think our guys understand a little bit more how hard you've got to compete, and I'm talking about physically. Our guys play with great emotion and energy, but there's also a physical side they've got to learn. They are an unfinished product, but they really try. We played aggressively, we got up and down the floor and we played our style. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits. I felt like our team learned a lot today.  I was really proud of the way we played this afternoon. Everyone played well and we were very consistent. It is nice to know that when we play to our potential, we can compete with most everybody that is that on our schedule. I'm looking forward to tomorrow to see how the guys respond after playing a great round this afternoon.

 Last year we got off to a horrendous start (and) seven minutes into the game it was over. We did not compete the way we need to compete. Our guys are embarrassed by our performance last year. That is not indicative of what ASU football is all about.

 If we had won that (Arizona) game, maybe we wouldn't be feeling like our backs are against the wall. But I feel like our backs are against the wall as far as our team taking care of business on the road. We need to go into these games ready to compete.

 There's no doubt we're excited. To be one game away from an opportunity to compete in the Elite Eight ... That would be a dream come true for most of these guys. This is why you play college basketball --to play in games like this.

 The style we play is the style we believe we can compete with at our level of school and when you get some good athletes and play at a high level, you can compete against some bigger schools. We have good athletes and good basketball players. It's a good mixture and blend. Clifton Lee is one of those guys who's just a good basketball player.

 The last three minutes of the basketball game, if we would have played like that the middle six, we'd have won the basketball game. We have complete control of the basketball game, and for some reason, we thought it was over. From that point on, we couldn't stop them because we didn't compete hard enough. We competed the last three minutes.

 You just want to give your team a chance by not letting in the third one. But I think the whole game, we were very ready mentally and physically to compete against them.

 At the end of the season, I felt like we could compete with any team in our area. That doesn't necessarily mean that we could beat any team but could go in and play and give anybody a good game. Early on, we didn't do the things it took to finish games. We first had to teach the girls how to compete. Once we learned how to compete, then we had to learn how to win. By the end of the season we learned how to finish games. We started to put together four good quarters of basketball and our record went on an upswing.

 The thing I've always said about Connor, and mentioned to Coach Kennedy, he's going to compete, I don't care what it is, he's going to compete. He's going to know what to do and play hard.

 We're ready for that. If the referees let us play tough, physical play, we are ready to compete and we are ready for every minute of the game.

 When you play good teams, the whole thing is to go out and compete. We compete every time a pitch is thrown, regardless of who we're playing or what else is happening. A lot of that comes from the leadership that our seniors have given us.
