 Even though they were coming back we didn't panic because our offense was still moving the ball. We stubbed our toes a little bit with penalties, but we weren't getting three-and-outs. At least we were able to stem the tide with our offense getting some first downs.

 We moved the ball and ran the offense early. We showed patience but then Bellevue turned the tide back on us with increased intensity. They took away our second-chance shots and really took control. We battled back in the third and rallied when we ran the offense again.

 We found a little bit of a groove on offense, but we didn't hang onto the ball. We moved the ball pretty well, but we weren't consistent enough to win. Penalties and turnovers kept us from winning the game.

 Offensively, the only thing that stopped us was ourselves. We had penalties that took away first downs and some offense. .. We just needed to keep the ball in our hands and convert those third downs and get some points, and we just didn't do that.

 They're very athletic. They pressure the ball well, and they don't let you get a second shot. We had a real tough time running the offense all the way. [Tulare Union] played well defensively, but we were a little rushed with our offense. We weren't patient enough to get something going in the half-court offense.

 They talked a little about me playing offense during recruiting, ... They said I'd play corner and play a little bit of offense, 10 or 12 plays. They didn't say anything about moving me. I had no reaction. I just went over and played ball.

 I think (the system) is a good thing. We stubbed our toes along the way and Shen stubbed theirs less than us.

 I can't say enough about how our offense has been playing. In the middle of the season, we were moving the ball but we weren't scoring. That's all changed, now.

 We've got a lot of talent, ... We're doing some good things on offense, particularly for an offense that has struggled in the past. We're moving the ball. Hopefully we can build on it. We still have a lot of work to do.

 Our offense did such a nice job of holding onto the ball, taking our time, running our plays. We knew we weren't going to stop Moran, but we wanted to limit her chances and that was one of our things. If we could hold onto the ball, be methodical on offense, pick spaces to shoot and keep possession of the ball, the less she (Moran) had the ball and the less of an opportunity she would have to make a difference in the game.

 Players that are 17 or 18 years old shouldn't be up-rooted from their families and coming out and maybe coming back again, but we think with the AFL's co-operation - and indeed initiative - we'll be able to stem that tide as well.
