When a unit comes in to check out, they need to have a missing or damaged gear statement stamped certified or true copied by their commanding officer. They have to have the statement done within ninety days of return. Instead of having the CO sign thirty missing or damaged gear statements, the unit only has to make one letter which the CO signs and attach the other Marines statements along with it.

 These are clearly recognized hazards in foundry work that can lead to serious illness, injury and hearing loss if the required safeguards are not implemented or are ignored altogether.

 It was something I was looking forward to for a while, the chance to play at home. It was tough missing opening night, missing so many games with an injury. So now, about a month later, I get to play at home under different circumstances. I enjoyed it. Ever since I came back and put the jersey on, I've been fired up about playing here.

 We went into this meet missing five girls due to illness or injury. We didn't know really how we would handle this. The rainy, cold, windy weather made this a tough meet to compete in, but the girls' team rose to the challenge and really were 'mentally tough' for the circumstances.

 We were able to use our divers in swimming events and it turned out each of them can help us as swimmers, so we're not complaining. I told the kids it was disappointing they couldn't dive, but here was another opportunity for them. I also reminded them that they are all sophomores and they have plenty of time to work and get better.
